Our role in your Austin charter

Austin Private Jets is a charter broker. When you ask us for private jet charter Austin quotes, we act as your agent in arranging air transportation. We are not the operator of the aircraft and we do not own or fly the aircraft you fly on.

The flight itself is performed by an FAA Part 135 air carrier that holds operational control of the aircraft and crew. That operator is responsible for the safe conduct of the flight, crew duty and rest rules, aircraft maintenance, and the regulatory compliance that comes with commercial charter.

Quotes are estimates until confirmed

Prices we give you are estimates built from aircraft category, distance, and the routing you describe. Aircraft hourly rates for Austin departures run from about 2,200 to 3,500 dollars for turboprops up to 9,500 to 14,500 dollars for heavy jets, and those ranges are indicative, not binding.

A quote becomes firm only when the operator confirms aircraft availability and the final price in writing. Fuel, landing fees, crew overnight costs, and airport charges can move between the estimate and that confirmation, and we tell you when they do.

What shapes your estimate

Austin travelers typically use Austin Executive Airport or Austin Bergstrom International. Both have their own handling arrangements, and which one you use affects ground time and fees. Runway length, elevation, and summer density altitude matter for some aircraft, and the operator makes the final call on performance and payload.

If your trip includes a leg where the aircraft, runway, or temperature combination limits range or baggage, the operator will say so before you commit. We pass that along rather than let you discover it on the day.

Payment and operator cancellation terms

Payment terms are set by the operator, not by us. Deposits, due dates, accepted payment methods, and refund conditions are stated in the operator's charter agreement, and you should read that document before you sign or pay.

Cancellation and change policies also come from the operator contract. Late cancellations can carry charges, especially once an aircraft has been positioned for your trip. We will tell you what the operator's policy says for your specific booking, but the contract controls.

Taxes, fees, and what the price includes

Federal excise tax applies to most domestic charter flights, and there are segment fees, international departure and arrival charges where relevant, and airport-specific fees. These are calculated according to the operator's invoice and applicable law.

Our estimate shows what we expect those items to be. The operator's final invoice is authoritative, and any difference is passed through as charged. We do not add hidden markups to taxes and government fees.

Limitation of liability and disputes

Because the operator holds operational control, claims relating to the flight, the aircraft, the crew, or injuries and delays are governed by the operator's contract and by applicable law. Our responsibility as your agent is limited to arranging the transportation and communicating accurately with you and the operator.

We are not liable for the operator's performance, for weather, air traffic, mechanical issues, or other events outside our control. If something goes wrong, we will help you work with the operator, but the operator's terms and the law set the remedies. Questions about these terms can be sent to us before you book.
